The Opportunity: The Senior Manager Growth Projects is a specialised role that is responsible for leading the development and delivery of new terminal projects for Port of Newcastle. The role requires a high level of leadership, strategic thinking, influencing and project execution capabilities to drive projects. The Senior Manager Growth Projects will lead strategic programs on behalf of the Executive Manager Growth and Development. A large part of this role includes: Leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team in planning, design and execution workstreams for new developments Supporting the planning and environmental function to obtain required planning approvals and compliance measures Overseeing the development of project delivery plans including scope, schedule, stakeholder engagement, risk assessment and resourcing Developing commercial and legal structures to ensure a reasonable return on investment Leveraging stakeholder information to inform, import/export considerations and infrastructure requirements Considering staged development which is in alignment with the Port Strategic Land Use Plan What you will bring: The successful candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Commerce, Logistics, Engineering or a related discipline. They will have experience in the management and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, as well as proven leadership experience. Excellent communication and influencing skills are highly sought after, as well as the ability to work independently, problem solve, multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
