As custodians of this critical regional asset, we are committed to creating a sustainable, socially responsible future.â¯â¯ Our values shape every aspect of our operations, from strategy development to daily interactions, ensuring we continue to support the local community and the wider economy.⯠The Opportunity:⯠Port of Newcastle is seeking a proactive and detail oriented People & Culture (P&C) Coordinator to assist in managing the day to day operations of the People & Culture team.⯠In this role you will support a wide range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, talent management, and the improvement of P&C systems and processes.â¯â¯ You will work independently on regular administrative tasks while also contributing to strategic initiatives and organisational projects.⯠The role involves maintaining up to date policies, procedures, and organisational charts, as well as coordinating P&C calendar activities and supporting the preparation of reports for the Board, executives, and management.â¯â¯ You’ll be the SME in administering recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and managing employee documentation. The People & Culture Coordinator will assist in preparing reports for regulatory bodies, such as WGEA and FWC, and ensure accurate data management within Port of Newcastle’s HR systems.⯠The People & Culture Coordinator will provide support for various projects, including developing systems to streamline workflows, integrating HR systems, and improving reporting and governance processes. You will assist in managing shared services, such as payroll and talent management systems, and responding to employee requests with professionalism and accuracy.â¯â¯ This position will require you to liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring effective collaboration.⯠What you will bring:â¯â¯ You’ll have experience working with a variety of HR information systems and business technologies, with a proven ability to manage high volume, detailed tasks.â¯â¯ Strong organisational, project management, and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
