The Opportunity:Port of Newcastle is seeking an 18-month fixed term Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in turning complex data into actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will act as a key liaison between technical and business teams, leading the development of self-service reporting capability and supporting high impact projects. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with stakeholders at all levels, and contribute to the growth and operational excellence. You will work with large, diverse datasets, develop automated dashboard and reports, and use your analytical skills to identify trends, and opportunities for business improvement. Your insights will help shape data driven strategies that enhance performance, efficiency and compliance across PON. What you will bring:You are a skilled and motivated data professional with strong technical expertise, business acumen and communication skills. You will bring: Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related field, with expertise in tolls such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL and programming languages like Python or R. Ability to collect and analyse large datasets from multiple sources and translate findings into clear, actionable insights. Strong stakeholder and communication skills, capable to presenting complex data to both technical and non technical audiences.
